Astemo Ltd. is part of the xEV Regional PE group focusing on Electric Vehicle products. The Power Module Process Engineer will support the establishment of equipment and processes for Power Module programs, ensuring cost efficiency and driving synergies across xEV activities.

Required

4-year University Degree in Related Field and 5 years related work experience
Engineering skills related to assembly processes including robotics, mechanics, control systems, pneumatics, and programming
Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems
Willingness to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness
Ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts and days as needed
Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting
Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Ability to travel for business (Domestic and Overseas)
Intermediate experience required in Windows Office Products (MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Experience with CAD, PLC, HMI, Network, and other engineering software

Preferred

Work experience within automotive or related industry, with comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical processes and relationships
Knowledge of EV components and processes, specifically inverters and power modules
Engineering skills including advanced aptitude and capabilities in conveyance equipment, product handling/motion, pick & place operations, fixturing/work holding, fastening, dispense systems, heating/curing processes, cooling processes, process measurement devices, interfacing/programming, barcode readers, and laser measurement devices
Experience in designing, programming, testing and validating production traceability systems, data management, software and control system validation, safety systems, and other ancillary production equipment/processes
Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc
Experience in electronics manufacturing and principles of IPC regulations
Well organized, attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates, management, and customers both verbally and written
Ability to lead and mentor other engineers or team members in a variety of roles throughout organization
