The San Francisco Chronicle is the largest newspaper in Northern California and the second largest on the West Coast, seeking a Visuals intern from UC Berkeley’s Journalism program for summer 2026. The intern will cover various news and feature assignments, responsible for photography, video capture, editing, and reporting.

Make informative and visually compelling images on deadline for daily stories

Transmit photos and videos remotely

Contribute accurate, concise, typo-free captions and additional reporting

Collaborate closely with editors and reporters in the field

Required

A first-year graduate student at Berkeley with prior experience at a college news publication or professional news organization
