Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design partners and own the end-to-end design and execution for major features and new offerings

Define strategy: Own the end-to-end design strategy for mission-critical feature areas within the FloQast platform from conception through launch and post-launch iteration

Design for AI: Translate complex AI capabilities and requirements into intuitive, trustworthy experiences that remove adoption barriers and help accounting teams realize value quickly

Drive design vision and roadmap: Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Leadership to define product strategy, contributing a deep, user-centered perspective that defines feature opportunities with exceptional attention to detail

Elevate quality and consistency: Ensure your surfaces are polished, easy to use, visually delightful, and maintain a high standard of quality and consistency across our enterprise platform and design system

Champion user empathy: Conduct and leverage qualitative and quantitative data (including user research, testing, and analytics) to ground design decisions, evaluate success, and advocate for the needs of accounting and finance professionals

Execute with velocity: Confidently own design execution in Figma, delivering concept designs, high-fidelity prototypes, and clear specifications to engineering partners, while finding creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

Lead and mentor: Act as a design leader within the team, bringing clarity and alignment across projects, and offering mentorship to junior designers to foster a culture of design excellence

Required

5+ years of professional experience designing and shipping high-quality, complex SaaS or enterprise products

Proven ability to lead the end-to-end design lifecycle for major initiatives, including the definition and execution of new features and products from 0-1

Robust portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design, interaction design, and strategic thinking, specifically demonstrating work on data-heavy applications, workflows, or sophisticated tooling

Expert-level proficiency with design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma

Experience contributing to robust design systems

Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of designing AI-driven features, including defining appropriate user controls, managing trust, and translating complex models into clear user value

Strong strategic collaboration skills and ability to articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively to product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders

Ability to ground and validate design decisions by utilizing both qualitative user research (e.g., interviews, testing) and quantitative data (e.g., analytics)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and aptitude for tackling ambiguous problem spaces while framing difficult challenges as opportunities
