Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth market research and talent mapping to identify and track potential candidates for current and future roles

Provide actionable insights on talent availability, competitor landscape, and industry trends to inform strategic hiring decisions

Partner with business and recruiting teams to translate hiring needs into compelling outreach strategies

Craft persuasive messaging and calls to action that resonate with passive candidates and reflect Coupang’s values

Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies using alternative search techniques, emerging sourcing channels, and trending media platforms to uncover hidden talent

Apply a structured approach to sourcing, leveraging proven techniques to build pools of highly qualified candidates

Drive interest and engagement through thoughtful outreach and relationship-building

Independently conduct initial interviews and phone screens to assess candidate fit for the role, team, and company

Provide detailed screening notes and recommendations based on alignment with short- and long-term organizational goals

Lead and contribute to sourcing-related initiatives including industry event planning, sourcing process optimization, and development of new sourcing tools and techniques

Use sourcing metrics to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve sourcing strategies

Share insights and recommendations with stakeholders to drive better hiring outcomes

Required

Minimum 5 years of recruiting or sourcing experience in an search firm or in-house recruiting team

Proven success placing candidates across a wide range of technology roles and levels, such as product management, engineering – backend & frontend, UX Design, Data Science/Analytics etc

Expertise in crafting Boolean search strings and utilizing diverse sourcing platforms

Strong track record of engaging passive candidates and converting them into applicants

Experience conducting in-depth candidate assessments through phone screening

Proficiency in using sourcing metrics (e.g., pipeline conversion rates, time to source, candidate engagement) to inform strategy and improve outcomes

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and solve complex challenges
