Process Development Test Engineer
Texas Instruments is a global semiconductor company that designs and manufactures analog and embedded processing chips. The Process Development Test Engineer will work within the Advanced Technology Development Team to develop new process platforms, extend roadmap technologies, and create innovative technologies for new markets and products.

Responsibilities
Partnering with technologists to ensure robust characterization solutions are available for emerging and pathfinding technologies with novel components
Defining test structures, architecting test solutions, and innovating new test capabilities to enable accurate and robust characterization data for technology assessment and SPICE Models across a broad range of technologies and component types
Partnering with design teams to align critical FoM specifications to characterization data and SPICE model simulations
Driving best practices & methodologies for optimal test structure design and characterization methods to ensure high-performance technology entitlement
Characterizing all component types across a wide range of process, bias, temperature, and frequency
Building infrastructure to enable efficient characterization to support rapid learning cycle technology development
Qualification
Required
Master's in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics or related with 5 years of semiconductor experience in test & measurements
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics or related with 3 years of semiconductor experience in test & measurements
Preferred
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics or related
Expertise in testing fundamentals, experience with semi-automated and automated characterization methods, tools, and equipment
Understanding of semiconductor device physics, and programming experience
Experience in development of test systems for new capability requirements and operational efficiency as well as working knowledge of SPICE models for components
Experience and proficiency in the following areas is also preferred: basic programming experience with MATLAB, Labview, C, SPECS, KTE (Keithley), and Unix Shell; and an aptitude for running various software scripts and utilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
