Responsibilities
Assisting with Design Work: Support more experienced engineers in designing electrical systems, components, etc. This may involve using software tools to create schematics, drawings, or models
Documentation: Keeping accurate records and documentation is crucial in engineering. Entry-level engineers may be responsible for documenting their work, writing reports, and maintaining records of design specifications and test results
Collaboration: Entry-level engineers often collaborate with other engineers, and project personnel from different disciplines to complete projects and solve problems
Learning and Professional Development: Entry-level engineers spend time learning about the company's products, processes, and industry standards. They may also participate in training programs to enhance their technical skills and knowledge
Fieldwork: Depending on the nature of the projects, entry-level engineers may have opportunities to visit job sites, participate in field installations, or assist in commissioning electrical systems
Adhering to Codes and Standards: Entry-level engineers must familiarize themselves with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical design and installation to ensure that their work complies with legal and safety requirements
