Responsibilities
Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, and quality; resolving problems; completing time studies; identifying trends; and implementing change
Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools
Confer with vendors, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Assess, document, and monitor existing processes. Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to enhance productivity, safety, or product quality. Develop new processes as required
Interact closely with new product development group to assist in implementation and scale up of new products on the production lines
Analyze current machinery conditions and work with internal and external resources to modify and improve operational effectiveness
Lead facility in Lean Manufacturing efforts and education
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
3-5 years of applicable technical experience required
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Knowledge of process-related standards
5S and Lean experience
Mechanical aptitude and excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills (Root Cause analysis techniques required)
Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, CAD, and Solidworks
Preferred
MBA or other advanced degree a plus
Extrusion or reclaim experience preferred
