Sales Engineer (Austria)

As a Sales Engineer, you will work closely with Sales Executives to pursue and close opportunities, acting as the technical expert in customer relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities
Assessment of customer security posture, needs and technical requirements
Presentation of security services including live demos
Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions
Complete RFP responses and actively participate in RFP defense meetings along with the Product and Sales teams
Challenging and updating customers' outdated security approaches with our best-practice solutions
Handover of new customers to account management and delivery teams
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background in cybersecurity, including Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, and the broader Microsoft E5 Security stack
Solid understanding of core security domains: identity protection, endpoint security, cloud and network security
Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships
Familiarity with the DACH SOC landscape to support strategic customer consultations
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical value into business impact
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events
Native German speaker, fluent in English (written and verbal)
Proven experience in a Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role, ideally within IT security
Preferred
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
Familiarity with the Microsoft cloud portfolio and the M365 E5 security suite, including Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and Purview
Background in MXDR, MDR, or SOC services sales, with an understanding of operational models and customer needs
Experience selling platform-led solutions, with the ability to position integrated value across multiple technologies and services
