Software Engineering Team Lead

The Software Engineering Team Lead will architect and drive the evolution of Content Protection systems, collaborating with various partners and mentoring team members to achieve technical excellence.

Responsibilities
Serve as our go-to authority on Content Protection system implementations Improve the technical excellence of the team by leading by example and coaching others
Design and implement high-impact technical solutions aligned with modern architectural practices
Provide mentorship, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement
Translate product needs into technical deliverables in coordination with stakeholders
Maintain a high standard of code quality and technical rigor
Foster an environment of diverse perspectives, growth, accountability, and learning Contribute technical input to strategic decisions alongside product leads and senior peers
Lead a globally distributed team across multiple time zones (from UTC+6 to UTC–8)
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of solving complex technical problems
Deep understanding of software design patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture)
Experience planning and leading projects that delivered measurable business/customer impact
Proficiency with both interpreted and compiled languages We use Python, Go, TypeScript, C#, and Ruby
Experience with relational, NoSQL, and columnar databases PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse
Comfortable with Linux server management
Hands-on experience with: Containerization (e.g., Docker), Kubernetes (K8s), Kafka, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Major cloud providers (AWS, GCP)
Preferred
Familiarity with: Front-end frameworks (e.g., React), Web crawling/scraping methodologies
