Instructional Systems Specialist (Advanced Placement)
USAJOBS is seeking an Instructional Systems Specialist for the Department of Defense Education Activity, Pacific Regional Office. The role involves providing coaching and guidance to educators in the implementation of Advanced Placement programs and improving teaching practices within student-centered environments.

Responsibilities
Provide coaching (both in-person and virtually) to Advanced Placement educators/educational leaders
Guide leadership/leadership team(s) in the school-wide implementation planning (this includes professional development, time for job-embedded learning, and scheduling)
Foster professional practice improvement of teachers in an Advanced Placement learning environment
Implement Advanced Placement instruction within student-centered learning environments (such as the physical space, academic, social, and emotional learning opportunities, and daily structure)
Advise educators in leveraging interpreted data to improve teaching effectiveness
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship required
Valid fully professional state teaching license in content areas or state's equivalent
Master's degree in the field of Education
Five years of specialized experience in teaching, educational research, development of educational materials and aids, educational testing, educational administration, or comparable activities in an elementary and/or secondary school
Experience must have been in any Advanced Placement category
Currently certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards in any Advanced Placement category
Foreign Degrees and Course Work from Non-accredited Institutions must be evaluated prior to acceptance
Proof of U.S. Citizenship required
Direct deposit of pay is required
Two-year trial or probationary period may be required
This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks
Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation
Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26JUL12 DODI 1400.25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights
Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US Citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area

Completed coursework in instructional design practices
Completed coursework in educational evaluation
Completed coursework in instructional product development
Completed coursework in computers in education and training
