Qualified candidates for this position will have at least 10 years of professional practice in information systems with cybersecurity as their field of expertise

Qualified candidates must hold at least a Master's degree in Information Systems or related specialization with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the area of instruction

Qualified candidates should possess professional competence and experience that will benefit the CIS and Cybersecurity program in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University

Qualified candidates should have demonstrated ability to perform teaching duties associated with the position

Qualified candidates should possess expertise/knowledge in multiple areas of cybersecurity and information systems including: networking, scripting and programming, network defense, governance, risk management, compliance, cryptography, assurance, vulnerability analysis, and/or forensics

For courses leading to certification, faculty must either hold a current version of the certification or make a good faith effort to obtain the certification in a timely manner
