Lead Human Resources Specialist (Processing)

Responsibilities
Oversees the process, workflows, and execution of all personnel actions, benefits form, and payroll documents that interface with the National Finance Center (NFC) which involves utilization of NFCs systems (EmpowHR, Epic, SPPS, etc.)
Provide technical training to team members for the accomplishment of individual and team tasks
Provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution
Resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others, such as formal grievances and appeals, to the Supervisor or an appropriate management official
Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team
Qualification
Required
Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening
May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation eligibility determination
One year of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1) Leading a team by managing the timeliness of personnel actions and balancing the workload of a team; 2) Identifying pay errors, proposing appropriate corrective actions; 3.) Preparing presentations, reports, and data summaries for senior and executive staff on research findings; 4.) Advising or consulting on staffing, payroll and compensation issues; and 5) Mentoring or training junior level staff
