Engineer Process Owner- Monoshell

Responsibilities
The Monoshell Process Owner will be responsible for ensuring that the Monoshell processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials, and equipment specifications as detailed in the Corporate Monoshell Manual and to perform formal monthly audits of the Monoshell process to the requirements of the MSAT audit procedure
Review and approve all new and revised instructions in the Monoshell area
Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications, provide technical support to Process Engineering to resolve monoshell related issues, and developing a timely and formal reaction plan to address deficiencies
Responsible for reporting the critical process status on daily and monthly basis to the Corporate Monoshell Business Unit Process Owner through Leader standard work daily audit reports
Responsible for control and approval of all monoshell dipping routines
Responsible for daily interface and communication of issues with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel responsible for the monoshell areas
Responsible for understanding downstream product quality as it relates to monoshell and react appropriately to observed conditions
Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback system to insure financial and contract targets are met. (yields, rework)
Foster continuous improvement utilizing Process management designed experiments, IPM and SPC, Cpk
Demonstrates considerable ingenuity and creativity while recognizing prudent risk
As a recognized expert in the monoshell process technology area, provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant
Routinely review process for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of approved process
Qualification
Required
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items
B.S. in Engineering plus 3 years engineering experience
Preferred
B.S. in Materials, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering
Previous experience in investment casting ceramics
Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment with strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of statistical analysis
Strong analytical abilities
Black belt/Green belt certification
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and create project plans. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the customer and/or management
