TF Cornerstone is a NYC-based luxury real estate company, and they are seeking an experienced Handyperson for their luxury rental building portfolio. The role involves supporting the Building Manager with maintenance, repairs, and the efficient operation of building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

This position requires strong support to the Building Manager/Superintendent with the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment

The handyperson is expected to coordinate and complete all requests for work, assign priorities, delegate to appropriate contractor, if required, and follow-up on completion

Repairs of all HVAC, boiler, heating, refrigeration, water, and energy systems

Repairs plumbing such as sinks, bathtubs, and toilets

Repairs on registers and radiators

Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware, compactor, and trash chutes

Maintenance painting in equipment rooms and other building facilities

Assist in the replacement of filters in the HVAC equipment

Perform electrical work

Perform carpentry work

General cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter induction units

Inspection of fire safety systems

Maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer systems, sump pumps, including basins, water closets, urinals, and piping

Maintenance and repair of all kitchen equipment, excluding tenant-owned equipment

Being available 24/7 when the Building Manager is not available

Required

At least 2-4 years of experience as a handyperson in a residential building

Possess any permits or licenses required by law or code (e.g., refrigeration license, etc.)

Experience in the operation, maintenance, and basic repair of electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, gas lines, and water systems

Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with tenants, clients, and vendors
