Marketing & Communications Specialist

The Marketing & Communications Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, developing thought leadership content, and engaging with the community to advance Larta's mission.

Civic & Social Organization

Responsibilities

Assist in evolving Larta’s brand identity and messaging framework for diverse audiences, including startups, government agencies, investors, academia, and foundations
Develop high-quality written content such as investment thesis, strategic policy narratives, and campaign materials
Build upon a 'Playbook' of campaigns to support Larta’s programs, development efforts, and organizational goals
Contribute to the design and execution of educational and community programming for Larta’s ecosystem in line with narratives you have helped create
Work collaboratively across teams to align program activities with brand and communication strategies, and be a point of contact for continuing refinement with stakeholder in our ecosystem
Support the planning and delivery of in-person and virtual events, including Larta’s Demo Days
Conduct research on Larta’s impact areas to identify community challenges and solutions
Collaborate with subject matter experts and key opinion leaders to develop engaging narratives
Manage and execute a robust editorial calendar across multiple channels, producing blogs, articles, white papers, and event materials
Develop compelling content and campaigns to engage foundations, family offices, and philanthropic communities in support of the organization
Create fundraising narratives and materials for new initiatives, including Larta’s Capital Access Initiative and impact fund (being currently developed)

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5-7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields, preferably in the startup, nonprofit, or sustainability sectors
Exceptional writing and research skills; ability to translate complex concepts into clear and persuasive narratives
Experience in community program support, event planning, and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns
Proficiency with web, marketing, and project management tools such as WordPress, HubSpot, and Asana
Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and academic institutions
