Assistant Research Scientist

Identify and characterize novel photoreceptors in marine Synechococcus using CRISPR and protein biochemistry approaches
Determine the photoreceptor properties of two unique proteins identified as master regulators of CA4, including the chromophores involved and these proteins’ DNA binding characteristics
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in molecular biology/genetics is required
Initiative
Good communication skills
Ability to work both independently and part of a dynamic research team
Preferred
Experience in plant or cyanobacterial molecular biology and photobiology or signal transduction research
