Life Safety Systems Engineer (Construction Management)

Responsibilities
On-site supervision and management of the construction and installation of life safety systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, construction specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Coordinating and managing contractors to ensure construction progress, quality, and safety meet project requirements
Reviewing construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure consistency with approved designs and specifications
Conducting periodic and ad-hoc on-site inspections to monitor construction quality, identify, and resolve potential issues or non-conformities
Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction process and assisting in resolving technical issues that arise on-site
Participating in and documenting meetings related to construction progress, quality, and safety, ensuring key decisions and action items are tracked
Assisting with the testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of life safety systems, ensuring their functionality meets design intent and operational requirements
Proactively communicating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of construction requirements and progress
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience in semiconductor
At least 1-3 years of experience in the U.S. in fire construction or a related field
Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility
