Responsibilities
Assess the property loss or damage, determine policy coverage (claim quantum, scope & schedule), work closely with builders and determine reserve within delegation levels
Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes and claim progress to stakeholders, including customers, Claims Managers, Repairers and Suppliers
Deliver professional and brilliant service when completing on-site and desktop assessments, interacting with customers on the Claims Managers request
Support the Claims Manager to identify customer resolution strategies to minimise customer escalations
Determine an appropriate claim fulfilment method that balances customer needs with business outcomes
Identify customers experiencing vulnerability and take appropriate action to ensure the customer is supported
Respond to customer and stakeholder requests within expected or agreed timeframes
Qualification
Required
Experience in the insurance or building industry or previous assessing experience
Passion for exceptional customer service
Experience in compiling scope of works
You will have previous experience within the building trade and are keen to use this experience and knowledge in a more administrative capacity
Or you may come from a Home Claims background and are keen to expand on this knowledge into a more hands-on Assessing role
You will have resilience and confidence in what you do – you're the expert
You will be required to have your own vehicle and full clean driving license
Preferred
Trade qualifications are highly regarded
