They are seeking a Senior Control System Architect to design, develop, integrate, and enhance applications related to Electric Utility Outage Management Systems, requiring a strong blend of Oracle DBA expertise and software development experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture, and integration of new features and applications for the Electric Utility Outage Management System (OMS)

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements

Oversee end-to-end system improvements, performance optimization, and stability enhancements

Develop, document, and maintain system architecture, workflows, technical designs, and integration specifications

Provide expertise in database design, optimization, backup strategies, performance tuning, and troubleshooting using Oracle DBA skills

Work closely with development teams using various software frameworks to ensure high-quality design and implementation

Ensure system compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and best practices

Participate in critical meetings, reviews, and workshops at client locations as needed

Required

Oracle DBA (Expert Level)

OMS (Outage Management System) experience OR prior work experience with an electric utilities company

8+ years of professional experience in application design, systems integration, or software architecture

Strong background in database administration with hands-on Oracle experience (backup, recovery, performance tuning, SQL queries, triggers, stored procedures)

Demonstrated experience in OMS platforms used in electric utilities (e.g., Oracle Utilities, GE PowerOn, Milsoft, or similar)

Solid programming and scripting background in languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or similar frameworks

Experience designing scalable, high-availability systems

Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and SOA

Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD, version control (Git), and automation tools is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Willingness to travel onsite occasionally for key meetings and events
