Post Doctoral Fellow, Metabolic and Rare Disease Research Laboratory

They are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead and contribute to preclinical research focused on therapeutic discovery for rare pediatric diseases, particularly lysosomal storage diseases.

Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to cutting-edge preclinical research focused on therapeutic discovery and validation for rare pediatric diseases
Advance complex animal studies, biochemical analyses, histopathology, and therapeutic development
Investigate pediatric metabolic and genetic disorders, with a primary focus on lysosomal storage diseases (LSDs) such as mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS), Pompe disease, and Batten disease
Bridge basic science with clinical applications, emphasizing gene therapy, genome editing, and the creation of innovative preclinical models to explore emerging therapeutic strategies for these conditions
Contribute significantly to NIH- and foundation-funded research programs while supporting the mission to improve the lives of children affected by rare genetic diseases
