Responsibilities

Design low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems and building services

Perform electrical system designs including switchgears, switchboards, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, transformers, distribution panels, and other electrical distribution systems components

Perform design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security and grounding systems

Prepare design drawings including single line diagrams, electrical plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc

Perform electrical system calculations using power analytical software packages (Ex. SKM, EDSA, and Easy Power)

Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, lighting, short circuit, coordination and arc flash)

Review and coordinate instrumentation, control system process P&IDs, mechanical and HVAC systems and design its related electrical systems

Develop electrical equipment specifications

Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices

Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed
