NABCO Entrances, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Sales Representative responsible for writing specifications for commercial construction projects. The role involves working closely with architects, developers, and contractors to determine the appropriate NABCO products for various projects.

Responsibilities

Provide specifications for automatic swing and sliding doors

Ensure that all specifications meet relevant building codes

Review drawings and provide solutions utilizing NABCO products

Prepare catalog cuts as requested by architects

Visit weekly with Architects in the marketplace, perform American Institute of Architects (AIA) style presentations

Frequent and regular visits to local customers and potential customers

Travel is required approximately 40-50% of the time

Required

Knowledge of American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) format

Possess time management skills to meet deadlines and set priorities with little direct supervision

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Associate degree from a technical/vocational school or equivalent practical experience

Preferred

Knowledge of pedestrian doors & hardware

Current computer and customer relationship management (CRM) software familiarity

Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), NFPA 101-Life Safety, NFPA 80-Fire Doors and Frames, NFPA 105 and all ADA compliance regulations

Current Architectural Hardware Consultants (AHC) certification

Construction Specifications Institute Certifications

Architectural or drafting experience
