Design Release Engineer, Engine & Engine Hardware
Scout Motors Inc. is a company dedicated to revitalizing an iconic American automotive brand. They are seeking a Design Release Engineer to oversee system engineering for their Harvester gasoline engine, coordinating designs, builds, and testing to meet project milestones.

Responsibilities
Responsible for system engineering for the Harvester gasoline engine underpinning the Scout Traveler SUV and Terra pickup
Coordinate component designs, builds and testing to meet both Scout and supplier milestones
Identify risks and escalate to leadership where appropriate to raise awareness and drive action
Track and report engine imperatives including system cost, mass, and investment
Effectively coordinate engine hardware, software and calibration for all phases from prototype development to production
Provide technical feedback to concept architects, designers, test engineers and calibration teams
Act as the engine single point contact for various partners and suppliers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Strong Powertrain technical fundamentals
7+ years of experience managing complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with evidence of success bringing programs to life from concept to production
Experience with common project/ program management tools
Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment with colleagues from purchasing, manufacturing, etc
Strong interpersonal skills including accountability, self-motivation, problem solving, analytical thinking, succinct communication and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships
Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc
Preferred
Experience with design release of Powertrain components and systems
Experience with internal combustion engine controls and calibration
