Senior LevelEscape Velocity Entertainment is a studio dedicated to creating engaging gaming experiences. They are seeking a Senior Technical Sound Designer to collaborate with audio designers and other teams to implement audio systems and enhance gameplay through effective audio integration.

Responsibilities
Working with audio designers and other disciplines to design, prototype, and implement audio systems
Creating and implementing audio systems via middleware like Audiokinetic Wwise and/or Unreal Engine 5
Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure audio is incorporated into all aspects of gameplay and enhances game experience
Working with the audio Team and project producers to spec out deliverables, locate dependencies, maintain documentation, and keep tasks within scope
Working with the Audio and Core Tech teams to develop, document, and optimise internal audio technology and systems
Working with the Audio team and other disciplines to ensure an optimal level of audio performance on projects via profiling and testing of in-game audio
Developing and maintaining documentation on created systems
Being a positive advocate and representative for the audio team within the studio and externally
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in audio implementation and mixing abilities for games
Shipped a game with Unreal + Wwise, or worked on a near-completion AAA title that was canceled
Exceptional communicator with strong mentoring capability
Understanding of technical audio, such as designing, implementing, and optimising audio systems and structures within middleware and game engines
Understanding of the game audio workflow and how it interacts with other disciplines
Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 and Blueprints
Able to work to differing feature sets and requirements between different consoles and formats
Preferred
Experience with Audio Middleware (Audiokinetic Wwise preferred)
Experience with source control software, such as P4V
Experience in Audio Design for games or other media
Experience in scripting
