Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple audits and reviews throughout the year
Perform detailed preparation and review of workpapers
Assist with annual SOX compliance work
Aid in the preparation of all SEC filings
Assist in drafting monthly internal reporting
Learn to monitor international reporting requirements for our rapidly growing, multinational, SEC-reporting entity
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls
Develop training documents for departmental tasks to facilitate cross-training and improve task transitions
Undertake periodic special projects as they arise
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Minimum 2 years' progressive accounting experience or a strong desire to learn more about technical accounting
Previous experience in both public accounting and private industry is valued, with a focus on leading audits from the client perspective
Strong sense of task-ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
Strong accounting acumen
Strong advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong desire to work in a rapidly growing and complex organization
Positive attitude, sense of humor, and ability to reprioritize tasks quickly
Proven ability to excel in a team environment
Commitment to professionalism in all interactions
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Ability to speak, read and write in English
In office full time at the San Antonio, TX HQ

Preferred

CPA strongly preferred
Experience with SOX compliance preferred but not required
Experience with consolidated financial statements in a publicly traded company preferred
Multi-lingual abilities are a plus
