National Markets Manager
MDIA is a nonprofit organization that bridges gaps between private innovators and the public sector to enhance municipal services. The National Markets Manager will lead the development and execution of municipal-facing products and services, driving growth and market expansion through strategic partnerships and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities
Lead development, cultivation and stewardship prospective customer pipline, and support the assessment of revenue opportunities against organizational capacity and mission alignment
Drive new client acquisition through strategic relationship-building with city leaders, civic institutions, and aligned funders
Ensure that MDIA maintains comprehensive growth strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives, focusing on both revenue generation and community impact
Support pricing, packaging, and service model decisions based on market feedback and strategic priorities
Prepare proposals, presentations, and other materials for pitch meetings and procurement processes
Lead the delivery of MDIA’s offerings to municipal partners across all service tiers, ensuring high-quality execution, alignment with impact goals, and exceptional partner experience
Drive partnership opportunities to quantifiable milestones including but not limited to new market municipal or government partner Letters of Interest (LOI) and/or related agreements as well as new market funding and subsidy commitments as key performance indicators
Steward MDIA’s internal databases of partners, constituents, and other business contacts to ensure the cultivation of relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and partners
Develop and execute market-specific fundraising strategies and campaigns that enhance donor engagement, secure contributions, and facilitate match funding partnerships to strengthen program sustainability
Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, facilitating stakeholder engagement discussions and development of relationship management processes
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree (or in progress degree) in any field
Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across government, nonprofit, and private sectors
Ability to close complex deals across a network of interconnected stakeholders
Proven track record of driving growth and client success in a mission-driven or innovation-oriented organization
Strong communication, presentation, and proposal development skills
Ability to think strategically and operationally, balancing long-term goals with day-to-day execution
Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy
Preferred
7+ years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, civic innovation, public sector consulting, or a related field
Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, and go-to-market strategy is highly desired
Familiarity with Pitchbook, Asana, HubSpot, Squarespace and Notion is preferred but not required
