Discovery Land Company is a U.S.-based real estate developer and operator of private residential club communities and resorts. They are seeking Seasonal Landscape Laborers to join the Golf Course Maintenance Department, where responsibilities include mowing, planting, and general landscaping tasks to create a quality experience for members and employees.

Responsibilities

Mow, edge, and fertilize grasses

General landscaping tasks such as mulching, weeding, planting of ornamentals, trimming hedges, shrubs, and small trees

Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants

Watering of lawns, landscapes, and gardens

Assist with irrigation repair and drainage installation

Participate in department set-up activities such as changing of hole locations and tee markers

Ensure all end of day tasks/closing procedures are completed and comply with the department’s SOP

Report any safety or maintenance issues immediately to the Department Manager

Attend department meetings and training as necessary

Any other duties as assigned

Qualification

Operate golf course machineryFollow directions in EnglishPhysical staminaTeamworkCalm under pressure

Required

Ability to operate golf course machinery such as push rotary mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles, and riding mowers

Possess a valid United States driver's license (or international equivalent) and ability to operate vehicles

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays and an ability to work a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length

Ability to follow oral and written directions in English

Ability to work in a team environment and operate in a safe, professional manner at all times

Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds

Ability to learn and navigate the property to complete assigned job tasks
