Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA is seeking an Operations Asset Manager to lead operational performance in a complex petrochemical manufacturing facility. This role involves overseeing safety, compliance, and efficiency across multiple product lines while managing a team of direct and indirect reports.

Responsibilities

Directs unit operations

Ensures compliance with applicable elements of Decatur’s Safety Regulations

Ensures compliance with all Environmental Policies and Regulations

Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Process Safety, and Environment compliance for the assigned area

Maintains the Control of Work Standard for the assigned process unit including approval of High Risk JSAs (Job Safety Analysis)

Serves Risk Owner for process safety risks in the assigned area

Responsible for the reporting of incidents such as leaks, SOLs/SDLs, (Safe Operating Limit/Safe Design Limit )etc

Responsible for ensuring the Management of Change (MOC) process is followed in the assigned area

Responsible for ensuring Critical Equipment is maintained in the assigned area

Responsible for auditing assigned area and as well as other operating areas

Resposible for delivering the production and variable cost for their assigned area

Share learnings and drive area with a continuous improvement approach

Develops and submits annual budget

Reviews cost statements and explains variances

Develops short and long term operating strategies and tactics

Ensures compliance with ISO procedures

Analyzes staffing levels and makes recommendations regarding additions and deletions

Oversees personnel selection process

Manages employee discipline when required

Provides development opportunities for team members

Assures completions of annual performance evaluations

Approves timecards for direct reports and approves overtime for assigned area

Communicates with other operating units to manage inter-related processes

Serves as primary interface for third party suppliers and customers

Supports to maintenance, reliability and engineering activities

Develops timelines and priorities for unit outages

Ensures appropriate unit support for unit outages – both salaried and hourly

Manages shutdown activities

Ensures efficiency of turnaround operations

Provides support for improvement projects

Provides operational input and risk management needs for proposed projects

Provides technical assistance regarding equipment selections

Approves startup schedule for new equipment

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned

Maintains a clean and well organized work area

Attends meetings as required

Completes training as required

Complies with all HSSE programs, policies and procedures

Performs special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required

Four year degree in an engineering discipline with 8+ years' experience in refining or chemical manufacturing or 15 years in refining or chemical manufacturing with supervisory experience

Strong organizational skills
