Human Resource Generalist I - 2nd Shift
The Suter Company Inc. is seeking a Human Resource Generalist I to provide daily HR support to employees and managers. This role involves handling employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance with regulations, and supporting the company's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities
Support the Mission of the Company by identifying and accomplishing team and individual performance goals that directly support the goals of the Company
Treat all employees, customers, and suppliers with respect and in accordance with the Company’s Code of Ethics
Follow all company GMPs and SOPs
Provide daily HR support to employees and managers, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training, and development, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies
Provide daily HR support to employees and managers, continually reinforcing our Company’s mission, vision, and values
Partner with managers and assistant managers by planning and executing strategic HR initiatives that support the business
Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within the area of responsibility
Participate in the recruitment, staffing, and retention of personnel for assigned Teams
Conduct New Employee Orientations and manage the Onboarding process for non-exempt and temporary employees
Coordinate and monitor the use of temporary agency employees daily
Coach, counsel, and guide managers on employee disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and other employee relations issues
Coach, counsel, and guide employees on company policies and practices
Advise employees and managers on the interpretation and execution of HR policies, programs, and procedures
Provide prompt and accurate guidance regarding all benefit programs, including various leaves of absence such as FMLA, STD, LTD, and personal leaves of absence. Maintain employee FMLA files as well as the FMLA spreadsheet
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations
Assist in policy development and adherence
Provide bilingual support and translation for HR related functions
Coordinate and monitor the internal Job Posting process, including developing Job Postings, maintaining Job Posting Tracker, communicating eligibility, and assisting Managers with scheduling internal interviews
Ensure all work-related accidents are investigated, the post-injury process is followed, communication occurs with appropriate individuals internally and externally, and OSHA reporting is completed
Maintain OSHA & workers’ compensation files and reports
Initiate and conduct employee investigations to address employee concerns
Maintain company-wide and departmental training matrices, including entering new training records and checking records and matrices for accuracy
Participate in benefits administration and group health insurance open enrollment
Enter new employees in the time clock system and adjust the start time on the first day
Maintain door access for authorized personnel
Communicate daily absences to managers and maintain a call-in log for employee absences
Conduct, participate in, and support organizational training and development efforts
Manage the Hep B vaccination process for ERT members through the log located in S:\Safety\ERT- CPR-First Aid-BBP Training Log.xlsx
Support employee safety initiatives
Maintain and manage personnel files and department records
Maintain staffing reports
Maintain Staffing Changes Checklist
Manage the 3-week Stay Interview and 90-day new employee review
Monitor 90-day increase for new hires
Prepare and communicate internally and externally daily staffing lists
Assist in paycheck distribution by mailing pay stubs, logging and tracking live payroll checks, and providing them to the appropriate manager
Review monthly attendance scores and guide managers regarding follow-up discussions
Remain current on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations impacting Human Resources, identifying and developing trends within the industry
Maintain inventory supply for vending services and order supplies as needed
Monitor Visitor Log, provide Visitor GMP forms and badges
Monitor Annual Human Resources training compliance
Coordinate the process of locker assignments
Process and monitor Pay Advances
Process PPE reimbursements and maintain a log
Process the uniform request form
Assist in employee engagement efforts and surveys
Maintain Human Resources communication boards
Ensure labor postings and notices are current
Prepare separation notices and related documentation
Conduct exit interviews and determine appropriate follow-up action items
Perform other duties as assigned
Coordinate translation of company materials to Spanish or other appropriate languages
Assist with Company communication pieces
Assist with Annual Hearing Conservation test’s administrative follow-ups (Documentation and necessary medical follow-up)
Assist with Company social functions (picnic, holiday party, etc.)
Coordinate semi-annual locker inspections with sanitation
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
Assist and participate in Job Fairs
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience in an administrative role
Bilingual in both English and Spanish
Leadership and project management skills to manage multiple priorities/meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Attentive to detail
PC proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills
Strong presentation skills and ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
Ability to flex schedule as needed to support multiple shifts
Ability to shift from various projects and manage frequent interruptions
Reasoning – Comprehend several abstract and concrete variables; using logic or reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems; sensitivity to handling confidential information
Mathematical – Arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
Language Development – Ability to communicate information in English and Spanish, ideas and instructions in speaking and writing so others will understand; ability to gather and organize information to write reports and/or articles for publication; prepare and assist with presentations; interview, counsel, or advise people; evaluate technical data
Professional – Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve conflicts
Physical Effort – Sedentary work; exert a negligible amount of force constantly and up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Visual – Far, near, mid-range vision, depth perception, color identification and field of vision (peripheral)
Activity – Regularly talk, hear, walk, use finger dexterity; occasionally stand, climb, engage in repetitive motions, reach with hands and arms
Preferred
Associate degree or professional certification preferred
Administrative experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
