Responsibilities
Work alongside Project Managers in delivering transportation and civil related projects, including providing technical oversight to engineering staff
Preparation of roadway/highway design and plan development from conceptual design to final contract plans
Preparation of technical reports and studies, including Concept Development and Final Design Reports
Lead project field visits to perform condition assessments and inventory of substandard/critical design elements
Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers and technicians
Opportunities for involvement in Project Management skills pertaining to project budgets and schedules, and adherence to a project’s scope of work
Public Outreach tasks
Participate in professional organizations and technical societies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (BSCE)
NJ PE License
10+ years of Engineering experience
Desire to work in a Team environment
Capability of supervising Engineer/Junior Engineer level staff
Preparation of roadway/highway design and plan development from conceptual design to final contract plans
Preparation of technical reports and studies, including Concept Development and Final Design Reports
Lead project field visits to perform condition assessments and inventory of substandard/critical design elements
Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers and technicians
Opportunities for involvement in Project Management skills pertaining to project budgets and schedules, and adherence to a project's scope of work
Public Outreach tasks
Participate in professional organizations and technical societies
Preferred
Familiarity with TAP and SRTS projects through NJDOT Local Aid a Plus
