Senior Mechanical Engineer
Powerwell is a leading recruitment firm helping clients discover top talent. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience to work closely with the business development team and other discipline leads in developing technical proposals and providing consulting services. The role involves mentoring a team of engineering professionals and managing multiple projects related to HVAC and plumbing systems.
Responsibilities
Design of HVAC and plumbing systems
Manage and design multiple concurrent projects
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
Lead design team efforts
Manage project team for budget and schedule control
Develop fee and qualification-based proposals
Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
Reading and preparing project drawings including ductwork plans, piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials
Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs
Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities
Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale
Ability to travel up to 10%
Qualification
Required
United States Citizen or Green Card Holder
Ability to work a hybrid work schedule out of Duluth, GA office
Active Professional Engineer (PE) License
Minimum 10 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
Experience with Load Calculation Software
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project Management experience and/or certifications
Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred
Experience with energy modeling is a plus
Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
Active local industry involvement is a plus
