Responsibilities
Define and maintain data structures, ensuring scalability, governance, and consistency across systems
Document the data warehouse in data dictionaries and technical knowledge bases for internal and client use
Make architectural decisions about data storage locations, formats, and long-term strategies
Establish policies to ensure data accuracy, structure consistency, and compliance with privacy and security standards
Set data retention and archival policies, including how long to retain data and when to purge
Establish and maintain data lineage to ensure transparency across data flows
Define data access roles and permissions to safeguard sensitive information
Determine best practices for storing and managing user-defined fields (UDFs) in the data warehouse
Ensure historical data is preserved, traceable, and accurately maintained
Qualification
Required
Master's degree (will consider Bachelor's degree) in Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
Proven experience in data architecture, schema design, and database modeling for enterprise-scale environments
Expertise in data governance, lineage tracking, and best practices for retention, archival, and security
Proficiency in Database Modeling, Schema Design, SQL, NoSQL, Data Security, and familiarity with Big Data technologies and cloud platforms
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective collaboration, and excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
