Responsibilities
Plan and execute repository, branch, and history migration from Perforce/SVN to GitHub
Configure GitHub repositories with branch protection, access control, and GitHub Actions
Implement Git Large File Storage (LFS) and use tools like git-p4 for incremental migration
Troubleshoot migration issues including file size limits, Python compatibility, and network permissions
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Manage state files and environment-specific configurations using workspaces and modules
Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
Design secure and scalable network configurations including VPCs, VNets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI
Integrate YAML templates and automate deployment workflows for .NET and containerized applications
Implement zero-trust security frameworks and compliance-as-code practices
Use tools like Azure Key Vault for sensitive information management
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams
Mentor junior engineers on GitHub best practices and DevOps principles
Qualification
Required
5+ years in DevOps roles; 2–3 years in GitHub migration projects
Proficiency in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Python/Shell scripting
Experience cloud security, cloud services
Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms
Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, SVN)
Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security and administration
Preferred
GitHub Certifications (any)
AWS/Azure Certified DevOps Engineer
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
