Responsibilities

Maintenance of electrical systems, such as 3 phase, UPS, Automatic transfer switches, generators, static switches, power distribution systems

Build vendors relationships

Assist in creation of Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs)

Troubleshooting electrical systems using array of test equipment

Working to NFPA standards

Maintain communication with office personnel via email or cell communication

Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional

Reading of blueprints and technical diagrams

Follow all company safety procedures such as LOTO

Training of less experienced employees

Knowledge of primary and secondary injection of circuit breakers

Ability to read trip curves

Knowledge of insulation resistance testing (megger)

Knowledge of low resistance testing (Ductor)

Testing of transformers single and three phase (TTR)

PLC Experience

Ability to read electrical drawings (one line, three-line, control schematic, wiring diagram)

Start up and commissioning experience

VFD’s, softstarts, motor control knowledge

Programming of communication devices

IR scanning experience

Ability to create detailed job findings

Understanding of different communication protocols

Ability to read and implement co-ordination studies

Willingness to undertake further training
