Policy and Data Specialist
Community Care Network of Kansas is dedicated to ensuring all Kansans have access to quality, community-based healthcare. The Policy and Data Specialist will assist in developing relationships with policymakers, conducting policy analysis, and providing data research to support policy priorities and special projects.

Responsibilities
Supports Community Care’s efforts related to collaboration and collective action between Community Care, state associations and agencies, member clinics, and other stakeholders to advance legislative, regulatory, licensing, and payment policy
Conducts policy analysis and research on current, proposed, or potential policies that impact member clinics or the communities/patients they serve
Identifies and communicates to Community Care leadership best practices for consideration for legislative, regulatory, and other policy change, including other states’ experiences with similar policies
Creates, maintains and manages a legislative tracking system to keep Community Care leadership apprised of legislative activity affecting member clinics or the populations they serve
Develops and implements a comprehensive data analysis processes to support Community Care legislative and advocacy development and messaging
Staffs the Community Care Legislative Committee, working with the leadership team on agenda development and timing of meetings
Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare finance, healthcare policy, public administration, or similar field of study
One to five (1-5) years' of work experience in related field
Unrestricted Driver's License required
Ability to promote a professional and positive appearance and work environment
Ability to make sound, well-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate complex and technical information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and written
Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills; willingness to seek input regularly for process improvement
Passion and commitment to improving health in Kansas
Ability to work effectively with multiple individuals and manage several projects at once with minimal supervision
Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
