Senior Principal Systems Architect Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Architect Engineer to ensure the conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions while leading technical work products and collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities
Design and development of multifunction RF sensor system architectures and definition of key capabilities and performance requirements
Create, evolve, and maintain the System Architecture that supports customer requirements, cost, and development schedule, including modularity, scalability, and extensibility
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Perform RF performance modeling
Develop thorough definition of system interfaces
Define the system implementation approach and operational concept
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Lead / oversee technical work products developed by the larger engineering team, supporting design reviews and integration and test activities as needed
Support capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and demonstrations, and competitor analysis
Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies and developing strategies for their insertion into both legacy and next-generation sensors
Develop modifications to existing products to meet unique customer needs, and support / lead the development of next-generation products within a market segment
Provide presentations to customers and senior management, with tailored material based on the audience
Apply new technologies as well as common designs and products enabling rapid development, prototyping and affordable solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
U.S Citizenship is required
A current / active DoD Secret Clearance
3 years of experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar system Design / Development
3 years of experience with RF systems engineering
1 year of experience with Algorithm development
Experience with MATLAB
Preferred
Leadership experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) or radar systems development and/or production program execution
Experience leading technical teams
Digital Signal Processing (DSP) experience
High proficiency in technical problem solving; to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring
Multi-disciplined knowledge in areas related to engineering including systems design, hardware, software and firmware design, integration and test
RF or EW technology background with sensors development and implementation experience
