Responsibilities
Source, identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure we obtain high-quality goods and services at the best balance of cost, quality, and value
Administer complex and high-dollar solicitations (typically $1M or more) while ensuring full compliance with County purchasing policies and procedures
Lead negotiations to secure favorable contract terms that support both operational needs and long-term countywide strategies
Monitor supplier performance, mitigate potential risks, and stay informed about market trends to enhance efficiency and strengthen decision-making
Serve as a trusted advisor to County departments by helping define specifications, establish evaluation criteria and pricing matrices, facilitate evaluations, and guide the solicitation and award process
Qualification
Required
Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in business administration, Supply Chain Management, public administration, or closely related field of study
Have at least six (6) years of full-time work experience in a purchasing department
