Acute Residential Counselor Floater – Developmental Services: Behavioral Support (Full-Time & Part-Time)
Howard Center is an organization focused on serving clients with complex needs through residential programs. The Acute Residential Counselor Floater will be responsible for implementing treatment plans and providing behavioral support in a home-like setting.

Responsibilities
Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client's Individual Support Agreement (treatment plan)
Implement the support and crisis plans (utilizing Therapeutic Options training), in collaboration with the greater treatment team
Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition
Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of clam demeanor during crisis
Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support
Provide needed personal and/or medical care
Qualification
Required
Three to four years of experience in a human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill has been acquired
High school degree or equivalent
Routine lifting
Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle
Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday
Experience with de escalation techniques
Committed to trauma-informed approach
