LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Danville, IN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the production floor, lead continuous improvement projects, and perform other production-related engineering duties.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes by assessing product requirements, ensuring manufacturability, and designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment to achieve desired outcomes

Leverage expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials while collaborating closely with production teams

Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, investigate equipment failures, prepare follow-up reports, and provide technical guidance to floor personnel

Perform root cause analysis to address quality concerns during production

Execute capital projects and drive process improvement initiatives

Lead or participate in Kaizen events to enhance manufacturing processes, implement Lean principles, and improve quality performance

Coordinate with operations and management to align on daily objectives and report progress

Work with maintenance, production, engineering teams, and external contractors to improve equipment reliability, service quality, and repair practices

Analyze workflows and optimize space and equipment layouts to boost manufacturing efficiency

Develop innovative solutions to resolve complex manufacturing challenges

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Engineering Manager
