Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and subcontractors

Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards

Working with the Superintendent to schedule work assignments and manage workflow to optimize productivity

Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project Superintendents

Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

Conducts safety meetings with craft employees; explains in detail the work to be accomplished and how it is to be accomplished

Acts as OSHA defined “competent person” on job

Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Provide guidance to craft employees on proper techniques and safety practices

Resolve/report conflicts and address any issues that arise on the job site

Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to facilitate project goals

Inspect work performed by subcontractors to ensure conformance with specifications

Qualification

Pile driving experienceCarpentry skillsEFCO forming systemWelding certificationBlueprint readingLeadership skillsCommunication skillsProblem-solving abilitiesOrganizational skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations

Must be well versed in the use of the EFCO forming system

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent

The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand

Knowledge and experience working with pile driving

Knowledge and experience in carpentry work building bridge formwork

Ability to conduct safety meetings with craft employees

Ability to act as OSHA defined 'competent person' on job

Up to date welding certification is a plus

Preferred

Additional certifications in construction management or related fields

Experience in a supervisory role
