Responsibilities
Lead and manage enterprise-level data science projects and commitments across credit risk, AI/ML, automation, and business analytics, ensuring timely communication of project plans, budget adherence, and alignment with strategic objectives
Serve as a senior project manager for credit-focused initiatives while also overseeing AI and non-credit projects that support growth, efficiency, and innovation
Mentor and act as a resource for Decision Science colleagues by providing feedback and training, fostering career development, technical skill growth, and strong project execution
Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders across business, credit, finance, IT, and operations while developing a culture of innovation, accountability and cross-team collaboration
Oversee prioritization and execution of the full Decision Science project portfolio
Facilitate collaboration and communication on project progress, timeliness, findings, and business impacts to senior leadership, tailoring messaging for executive stakeholders
Ensure effective allocation and utilization of project resources (human, financial, technical)
Proactively identify and communicate risks to project delivery and implement mitigation strategies
Champion best practices in data science project management, governance, and documentation to facilitate and drive continuous process improvement
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, business management, or similar relevant field
Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in data-driven environments and consumer lending/finance
Knowledge of development software and design software
Experience using statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
Preferred
Master's degree in data science, computer science, business management, or similar relevant field
