Sr MDF Programs Manager

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end MDF lifecycle: allocation, approval workflows, compliance oversight, and performance reporting
Manage the MDF rules of engagement, evolving program guidelines and recommending best practices for internal and external stakeholder and partners
Act as the main point of contact for partners and internal stakeholders on all MDF-related processes, escalations, and inquiries
Manage MDF funding to distributors and reseller partners in alignment with business objectives
Partner with Finance to ensure program governance, fiscal discipline, and audit readiness
Oversee MDF portal operations (ChannelScaler/SFDC), workflows, data capture, budget uploads, and partner guidelines
Manage contra budgets, MDF accruals, and financial reporting — including quarterly reconciliation with Revenue Recognition and Finance
Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to evolve the global MDF framework
Track MDF wallet funding (XTRM) to ensure timely disbursements and recognition of spend
Provide quarterly business review (QBR) materials/slides
Support operational requests through the MDF support desk (mdf-support@extremenetworks.com)
Oversee partner marketing team OPEX management to ensure spend discipline, forecasting accuracy, and alignment with approved budgets
Lead annual AOP (Annual Operating Plan) discussions and planning cycles to define allocation, investment focus areas with Team and Leadership
Manage an MDF compliance contractor and participate in the Partner Marketing leadership team. Provide strategic direction to the team and key stakeholders
Serve as the connective tissue across partner and field marketing and channel sales functions, ensuring operational efficiency, strategic alignment, and clarity of communication
Collaborate closely with sales leadership and teams to ensure campaign messaging, content, and offers resonate with target audiences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or a related field
4+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, marketing strategy, or related disciplines, in B2B SaaS companies with comparable scale to Extreme Networks ($500M to $5B in revenue)
Proven track record managing MDF programs at scale, measuring and reporting on campaigns that optimize ROI and partner growth
Exceptional functional leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and lead within cross-functional teams
Expertise in process development and documentation, pipeline management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement
Advanced analytics capabilities, with proficiency in marketing automation (Marketo), project management (SmartSheet, Monday.com), CRM (Salesforce), and reporting tools (Tableau, Salesforce, Power BI)
Outstanding communication, presentation, and project management skills
