They are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Process Designer proficient in CAD and BIM to support Project Managers and Project Engineers in developing mechanical process plans for water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

Generate and development of equipment and piping layouts in Revit based from engineer’s mark-ups and sketches, using both company or client standards

Takes on model authoring responsibilities by working closely with Mechanical Engineers to ensure that discipline BIM Models are aligned to design intent

Prepare detailed design drawings for the project team

Check for conflicts of design elements against other discipline models and resolve them as part of a team in a timely manner

Acts as custodian for the discipline’s Revit Family repository

Required

BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field +4 years of related experience and/or education, such as Mechanical BIM and CAD design

Experience in a wide variety of mechanical process facility designs, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and/or supporting structures

Experience using Revit MEP and AutoCAD

Preferred

8+ years of experience of Mechanical BIM and CAD design

Professional Engineer - PE

Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion

Professional and timely communication to internal team members and external stakeholders

Delivers on promises to project team members, consultants, and clients

Able to build and maintain professional relationships internally and externally

Comfortable using Revit's capabilities such as: MEP modelling and design tools, Sheets and Detail views, Worksets, Design Options, Phasing, Revit Family modification and creation, Templates and View filters creation

Experience in using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM 360 for Model and clash coordination would be an asset
