Applications Engineer (Airtech)

LogistiQ is a rapidly growing Air Cargo Engineering Business dedicated to providing innovative solutions to the Air Cargo Industry. The Applications Engineer will serve as a technical authority, supporting both pre- and post-sale activities, ensuring product designs meet customer requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the entire organization for one or more Company product lines
Review requests for quotations (RFQ) and specify product to meet customer’s applications
Direct Designer/Detailers in generating proposal drawings, bills of material, and routings for proposed equipment
Review and approve cost estimates from which quotations are developed
Author technical documentation, including sequence of operation and other specifications that will be inserted into the proposal
Coordinate integration of electrical controls into designs
Direct Designer/Detailers in creating detailed designs, bills of material, and routings for shop release
Support installation and start-up of subject equipment as required

Required

Industry knowledge of product application
Knowledge of the fundamental calculations supporting product design
Experience in steel detailing and metalworking shop practices
CAD experience, preferably in SolidWorks
Basic knowledge of electrical controls, circuit design, and the troubleshooting thereof
Project management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to team with sales and production personnel to meet customers' needs
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field preferably mechanical and a minimum of 7 years applicable work experience
English as first language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write and analyze reports. Ability to reach and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Excellent math skills are required. Individuals in this position must be able to analyze data and perform basic engineering calculations
Must be proficient at Microsoft Office products and possess adequate skill to navigate and work within company's ERP and CRM software. Excellent typing skills are required
Basic understanding of CAD packages as needed to clarify customer RFQ's
