MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
USAJOBS is seeking a Maintenance and Operations Supervisor at Altus AFB. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work related to electrical distribution, airfield lighting systems, and commercial power generation.

Responsibilities
Performs work planning responsibilities. Plans on a quarterly or longer basis the overall use of personnel and other resources in two or more separate organizational segments or groups controlled through one or more levels of supervision
Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed
Performs administration responsibilities. Participates with subordinate supervisors/employees in the development of performance plans
Provides a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Supports the agency's EEO program through allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs, ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials
Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas. Ensures employees with access to classified information comply with security directives

This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety
The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation
This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively
This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve")
This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions
This position has a limited area of consideration to Command-wide (AETC)
Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission
Ability to manage overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions and implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures through one or more levels of subordinate supervisors
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
