Responsibilities

Reviewing and correcting client invoice errors prior to finalization and distribution to clients

Managing client billings and collections processes and executing within firm deadlines

Communicating with internal and external clients

Developing and implementing improvements to billing processes, policies, procedures, SOPs, tools, etc

Preparing & presenting billing reports on a scheduled periodic basis

Managing and mentoring staff

Preparing budgets and statements

Required

Candidates MUST LIVE IN CALIFORNIA

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

8-10+ years of billing experience for attorneys at a law firm with at least 50 attorneys (NOT a debt collections firm), including 3+ years of experience presenting complex billing reports on a periodic basis

4-5+ years of experience managing a team

e-billing law firm experience

Experience with the following law firm software: Ascent, Collaborati, Bottomline, TyMetrix 360, Counsellink, or Quovant. Other similar software applications will be considered

Strong Excel skills including use of pivots, lookups, etc

Must be customer-centric able to communicate well with internal and external clients
