Responsibilities

Preparing statistical reports bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually and/or as requested for dissemination internally and externally (e.g., state reporting to DOJ, Behavioral Health, etc.)
Analyzing and interpreting data, coordinating programs based on research and recommending a course of action for technical and grant opportunities
Preparing oral and written presentations and documents of study results and recommendations to assist management in making informed administrative and operational decisions
Developing informational bulletins to report monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics

Required

One year of experience performing analytical duties as a primary job function in any of the following areas: organizational operations and programs, data/statistical analysis and reporting, quantitative and qualitative analysis, fiscal analysis, contracts/grants administration or management and a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, behavioral/social science, data analytics, accounting/finance, public/business administration or other relevant field of study
Two years of experience performing analytical duties as a primary job function in any of the following areas: organizational operations and programs, data/statistical analysis and reporting, quantitative and qualitative analysis, fiscal analysis, contracts/grants administration or management and an Associate's degree in criminal justice, political science, behavioral/social science, data analytics, accounting/finance, public/business administration or other relevant field of study
Three years of experience performing analytical duties as a primary job function in any of the following areas: organizational operations and programs, data/statistical analysis and reporting, quantitative and qualitative analysis, fiscal analysis, contracts/grants administration or management and thirty semester (45 quarter) units in criminal justice, political science, behavioral/social science, data analytics, accounting/finance, public/business administration or other relevant field of study
Copies of transcripts or list of completed college coursework is required
An additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education under Option 3 only
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education
Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education

Preferred

Understanding of the criminal justice system
Proven experience conducting and interpreting multivariate analyses using statistical methods
Experience developing, presenting, and delivering ideas and recommendations to internal teams and leadership
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Background in a law enforcement environment
Proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Suite, Excel, JIMS, Visio Diagramming Software, Tiburon, or equivalent Computer-Aided Dispatch Software
Experience in grants administration
