You are efficient with resource usage (e.g., system hardware, database, memory/CPU, etc)
Qualification
Required
Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of software development experience, including building and maintaining mobile applications using React and React Native
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and core web technologies (HTML and CSS)
Experience with native mobile development on iOS and/or Android (e.g. Swift or Kotlin)
Experience contributing to frontend architecture decisions or shared component libraries
Familiarity with OpenAPI or similar approaches to API documentation
Deep experience delivering high-quality user interfaces with strong attention to performance, accessibility, and responsive design
Experience designing and working with Node.js services, ideally using a backend-for-frontend (BFF) pattern
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, and how they apply to real-world systems
Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into well-designed, maintainable, and testable solutions
Extensive experience with modern development workflows including Git/GitHub, pull requests, and code reviews
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or BuildKite
Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS, including API Gateway and serverless patterns (e.g. Lambda)
Experience working with SQL databases and data-driven applications
Familiarity with container-based development (e.g. Docker) and a working understanding of container orchestration concepts (e.g. Kubernetes)
Demonstrated ability to raise engineering standards, drive operational excellence, and influence best practices across a team
