Retreat Sales & Business Development Lead

Team Retreats is a company that designs and manages corporate retreats, incentive trips, and leadership experiences at top all-inclusive resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean. They are seeking a Retreat Sales & Business Development Lead to own the sales cycle, build strategic partnerships, and develop processes that will scale the company's offerings.

Responsibilities

Own the sales cycle end-to-end (pitching → closing → onboarding)
Build partnerships with resorts to create group programs, perks, and packages we can sell repeatedly
Develop the playbooks, processes, and systems that future sales hires will use
Help shape our retreat experience offerings (team-building, wellness, leadership, incentive)
Manage the full sales pipeline and close high-value group deals
Craft tailored proposals aligned with client goals, culture, and outcomes
Build long-term relationships with People Leaders, CEOs, and Ops teams
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with resorts, DMCs, facilitators, and experience providers
Negotiate group perks, exclusive benefits, and packaged retreat products
Turn one-off event concepts into repeatable offerings we can sell at scale
Research market trends and competitor positioning to strengthen our differentiation
Define CRM workflows, outreach cadences, and pipeline health metrics
Create proposal templates, sales scripts, and pricing frameworks
Identify new lead channels and outreach strategies to increase inbound + targeted outbound
Lay the foundation for a scalable sales organization (you will help hire the second, third, fourth…)

Required

3+ years in sales, business development, partnerships, or group travel/event strategy
A relationship-driven seller with strong consultative sales ability
Confident leading conversations with founders, executives, and People teams
Experienced in corporate travel, group events, retreats, hospitality, or incentive programs
Skilled at designing programs, not just selling line items
Energized by ownership, autonomy, and building from zero-to-one
Someone who moves fast, thinks strategically, and raises standards relentlessly

Preferred

Background in travel, hospitality, incentive programs, culture/leadership experiences, or B2B services strongly preferred
