Instructional Assistant or Associate Professor - Engineering Undergraduate Programs
The University of Houston is seeking non-tenure-track faculty members for the Engineering Undergraduate Programs. The main responsibilities include teaching first-year engineering courses and contributing to student success initiatives, while collaborating with academic advisors and other faculty.

Responsibilities
Teaching the common first-year curriculum in the Cullen College
Contribute to the various student success initiatives in the college
Develop course curriculum and content
Deliver courses online or at the UH-HCC Engineering Academies
Emphasize design and problem-solving using engineering tools and software
Qualification
Required
Ability to function in a collaborative atmosphere with multiple stakeholders
Solid commitment to engineering education using experiential learning
Excellent communication skills
PhD or equivalent in an engineering discipline including engineering education, a related education field, or a related STEM field
Preferred
Experience working with first-year engineering programs
Experience with project-based learning
Experience with NAE Grand Challenges
Record of scholarly activities in the area of engineering education
